It would be this.
Color, wheels, body-style, size. It’s perfect. Add a rooftop tent and some type of drawer system to the bed. Gaaaaah someday I will buy a Tacoma.

I think I would lower it or put the ass end on bags or easier bike loading.
but yes,.

Would you get the crew cab stub bed, or crew cab“long bed?”

Probably the stub bed, but I’d have to look at both. If I could lay down completely in the long bed then that might be the one, but I’d prefer to keep the truck’s dimensions as compact as possible.
Ideally Toyota would make a 2 door, but with the tiny backseats, or even one side facing rear seat. Then I could get the longer bed while still having decent cabin space and room for the occasional 3rd passenger

Not a bad idea. Or maybe some high end electronically adjustable coilovers with a large height range...

I like the blue better, but even as a Toyota fan, I really want a new Ranger.

If you did that to TRD Pro, I would come visit you in Canada and share words.

At first I thought you meant bicycles, and I was thinking “buddy, if you can’t lift your bicycle you probably shouldn’t be taking it anywhere you need a truck to take it to”...and then I remembered that motorcycles exist.

Wow. That’s a great color. Do you know if that’s going to see showrooms or is it just a show car color..?
I really need to walk around a new Ranger before I pass judgment. I might be judging it unfairly because of the experience I have with the prior Rangers, and the fact that to me, “Ranger” is synonymous with “work truck”

Don’t they make an extended cab on the new one?

That’s a real color. The Tacoma had always been a work truck, now it’s not. It’s the times. Also, as someone who is 6' tall, I vastly prefer the bed height of a full sizer to our Tacoma when working at the tailgate. I don’t get the fascination of small trucks, having used both to work with.

No, not to me. I’ve always seen a Tacoma as an adventure rig. This doesn’t really have anything to do with the size or anything, just the way I’ve viewed it since I was old enough to notice.
Huh. I’m 6' as well, and I like the shorter bed heights. But I’m grabbing things from the side, or a ladder rack, just as often as I’m pulling things out of the tailgate

I’m not strong, but I doubt a lot of ppl can just toss in a 400lbs sportbike to chest height easily.

I’m grabbing things from the side, and working at the back. I’d rather climb over than have to reach down.

Cement and Cavalry are both good looking colours- I just think I’d get tired of it after the novelty wore off.. I don’t want the flashiest truck in the lot - but I didn’t want white either.

Hmm. I wouldn’t want white or Red. Dark green or olive is always good, but I think that grey (cement?) would be perfect. It’s different, but at the end of the day it’s still just grey so not too crazy

yeah - I really like that grey. We looked at Tacomas a number of years ago but eventually ended up with a better mileage vehicle and I didn’t have a bunch of money at the time.... I’m kind intrigued by the talk of a Toyota Jeep competitor too...

I like our silver sky metallic- we went with the sport so our options were Barcelona Red or graphite grey. I didn’t want a dark truck and the silver is different than our 2nd Gen silver.
Not ours but still looks good;

Cement is cool, I like the quicksand, too. Had they still made it in ‘15, I would’ve bought a Spruce Mica. Love that color. As it is, I was determined to have a vehicle with color this time around, so I got red. It was between that and dark blue, and I was tired of keeping dark colors clean. I would’ve made an exception for this color, though.
Picture pilfered from Tacomaworld.
I’m still content with red, though.

I really like what I’ve seen for the new Ranger too but unfortunately I can’t wait until this time next year for a new car. I just don’t trust my 12 year old Hyundai through another Ohio winter
